Visit Barisal Backwater & Mosque city Bagerhat on a single trip. Barisal is the land of rice–river–canal, and the fish called the island of Bengal, Venice of Bengal. The backwaters’ most beautiful and accessible parts are Atghar & Kuriana Upazilla, The famous ‘Floating Guava Market. There are 12-15 canals full of natural beauty rare in Bangladesh and listed with rich bio-diversity.
Sixty Dome Mosque which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site is the largest in that country from the Sultanate period. It has been described as the most impressive Muslim monument in the whole of the Indian subcontinent.
In the middle of the 15th century, a Muslim colony was founded in the mangrove forest of the Sundarbans, near the coast in the Bagerhat District by a saint-General, named Khan Jahan Ali.
This tour starts with a full-day city tour, including the New and Old parts of Dhaka.
After a whole night cruising by modern ship. We’ll go to the UNESCO World Heritage Site-Sixty Dome Mosque, Shrine of Khan Jahan Ali, and Nine-dome Mosque in Bagerhat, Khulna.
Next day we’ll cover famous Backwater and floating markets of guava, vegetables, and other fruits in Barisal. Experience the traditional Bazaar beside the river, the lifestyle of the people, the school, and many exciting things for a memorable trip.

Tour Itinerary
- Around 8:00 am-8:30 am, start the tour from your hotel or residence. Our responsible guide will pick you up in the car. Start with Kawranbazar Vegetable Market, the biggest bazaar in Dhaka. Visit the outside view of the National Assembly (Parliament Building), the largest legislative complex in the world designed by famous American architect Louis Kahn.
- Visit Curzon hall, Dhakeswari Temple, the national Hindu temple of Bangladesh built by Ballal Sen in the 12th century.
- Head to Lalbagh Fort, a key attraction for tourists. It’s an incomplete construction of the Mughal period in the 17th century started by Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah. Visit Star Mosque, Armenian Church at Armanitola, and have your lunch.
- After, we will visit the famous Ahsan Manzil also known as Pink Palace in Sadarghat. It was the official residential palace of Nawab in Dacca in the 19th century. We will go to Sadarghat River Port by walking for 5 min (or by car) on a busy street. Experience the floating people and trading boats in the iconic Buriganga River.
- We will accommodate ourselves on the modern ship. It will start the cruise at 8:30 pm towards Barishal.
- Over Night stay at the ship.
Early morning you will arrive Barisal and this day you will visit backwaters and see many wooden boats with full of goods like Vegetable / Rice / Guava are ready for trading on the water,mile after mile you will enjoy these water ways inside the canal and watch both side panoramic view of the remote village scenery, you will cruise in the river and small canals and visit foating market which is full of activates and perfect for photography!Then drive towards Bagerhat and visit the15th century Muslim City once called as Khalifabad which is the present day Bagerhat, is an UNESCO protected world heritage site. Drive back to Dhaka.
Tour Notes:
- Timing and assembling for the places are flexible, it could be changed because of traffic during the tour.
- Bengali local food is spicy. Plain rice, vegetables, fish & meat are available in restaurants. Biriyani & Khichuri made of Rice, lentils, meat, and special spices are the famous food of old Dhaka also available in other cities. (Non-spicy food is possible to order at most of the restaurants if you like.)
- It requires modest clothes to visit any mosque. It does not allow shorts for the purpose, and especially, women have to cover their hair and arms with clothes.
- The dress of shorts is not a problem in the Sundarbans area.
- Ahsan Manzil is closed on Thursday and opens Fridays after 3:00 pm. Lalbagh Fort is closed on Sundays and open on Mondays after 2:00 pm. Ahsan Manzil and Lalbagh Fort are also closed on government holidays. But you can have an outside view of these places.
- Old Rocket Steamer is out of service but modern rocket ships are available on the same route.

You must get permission to visit Chittagong Hill Tracts and it’s included in our package. Separate permission is required for Rangamati and Bandarban. We are an authorized company and you must not worry about that.

But there are limitations of items at some restaurants in remote areas.
