Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh besides the Buriganga River since 1608 and is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. It’s a center for Trade and Culture, with a long history as a seat of government. The old part of the city known as Old Dhaka is a centrum of a spacious range of architectural heritage from the Mughal regime to the British colonial period. In the 17th century, it was the Mughal capital of Bengal, and many palaces and mosques from that period remained tourist places in Dhaka. Lalbagh Fort- is an incomplete early 17th-century Mughal fort complex that stands before the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of Dhaka and is the key attraction for all travelers. Nawab Abdul Gani’s Ahsan Manzil known as Pink Palace set an iconic mark for tourists for a long time. The historical remains of Armenian traders in Dhaka belong to the Armenian Church the graveyard is a pleasant place to visit in old Dhaka. Mirza Gulam Pir’s Star Mosque near the Armenian Church will excite you with its mesmerizing interior. The mosque has ornate designs and is decorated with motifs of blue stars. Ballal Sen’s Dhakeswari Temple from the 12th century is now renovated and the national temple of Bangladesh situated near Curzon Hall (Dhaka University) is a historical lane.

Being a center of the Liberation War of Bangladesh, Dhaka hosts some national monuments like Shaheed Minar, National Memorial, and Liberation War Museum are worth visiting in the New Dhaka area. Especially, American architect Louis Kahn’s National Parliament Building typifies this fast-growing modern metropolis as a beautiful architectural work in the subcontinent for an assembly.

The Holi Festival (Color spreading) of Hindu people is held every year. The largest vegetable and fish market in Dhaka, Kawaran Bazar is an iconic place for photographers. The Railway line beside the Bazar and the people’s daily jobs will help you to experience another world.

Dhaka is the city of festivals. The Bengali New Year known as Pohela Boishakh is celebrated with a wide range of cultural representations of Bengal. On this day, people wear traditional dresses and eat traditional food to welcome the New Year. The musical events and giant colorful statues of animals are used for the rally in the Shahbagh area.

This is a significant occasion to attend for the festival and culture lovers. Along with that, Falgun Utsob (Pohela Falgun), National Mother Language Day, Victory Day, and other festivals are quite pompous to attend.

Tour Itinerary

  • Around 8:00 am-8:30 am, start from your hotel or residence. Our responsible guide will pick you up in the car. First, we will visit Kawranbazar Vegetable Market. Spend some time in the biggest bazaar of Dhaka.
  • Visit the outside view of the National Assembly (Parliament Building), the most significant legislative complex in the world designed by famous American architect Louis Kahn.
  • Visit Curzon hall, a British-era building named by Lord Karzan. At present, it’s a Science Faculty under the University of Dhaka.
  • Visit Dhakeswari Temple, the national Hindu temple of Bangladesh built by Ballal Sen in the 12th century.
  •  Then we will go to Lalbagh Fort. A key attraction for tourists. It’s an incomplete construction of the Mughal period in the 17th century started by Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah.
  • Visit Star Mosque, a 19th-century monument built by a Muslim pious Mirza Golam Pir, and the Armenian Church at Armanitola, a testimony to the significant Armenian Community in the region in the 18th & 19th centuries.
  • After having lunch, visit the famous Ahsan Manzil also known as Pink Palace in Sadarghat. It was the official residential palace of Nawab in Dacca in the 19th century.
  • Enjoy a rickshaw ride to Sadarghat River Port by walking for 5 min (or by car) on a busy street and enjoy the floating people, trading boats, and the environment.
  • In the evening, come to your place with the experience of the craziest city and the people.

You must get permission to visit Chittagong Hill Tracts and it’s included in our package. Separate permission is required for Rangamati and Bandarban. We are an authorized company and you must not worry about that.

Our Package includes complimentary breakfast at the hotels and lunch-dinner at good-quality restaurants. Bengali local food is spicy. Plain rice, vegetables, fish & meat are available in restaurants. Biriyani & Khichuri made of Rice, lentils, meat, and special spices are the famous food of old Dhaka also available in other cities. Non-spicy food is possible to order at most of the restaurants if you like. In Sundarbans, we have a special chef to make your food. We offer food for vegetarians. But there are limitations of items at some restaurants in remote areas.
